Love Anani '07 is the President of Staff for TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center (Springfield, TN) and has also held the position of Medical Director for the past seven years. He chose the route of medicine after his mother planted the seed in his mind early and it was watered by the life-saving skills of the Nurses and Physicians of County General on the hit show ER. Emergency Medicine was the only route for him and he thought he was entering a stable and niche medical career—until a global pandemic in 2020 changed just about everything.
Dr. Anani will discuss the past, present, and future state of the medical specialty of Emergency Medicine. He will review the topic of burnout, the "declining" job market, and the financial implications of new laws such as the No Surprise Billing Act. If you have ever been to an ER, want to prepare yourself before you go, or even thought about working in one: this is the perfect talk.
